Do not you think that Shepard Fairey is a sellout? OBEYOBEY?
the creator of Obey. I refer to your artwork is incredible, but it is exhausted. What happened to people who appreciate Banksy? Most people who talk do not know who the person behind the Obey clothing just think that the clothes are "cool." What do you think?
I think you're attaching more meaning to what Fairey necessarily justify or want. Fairey graduated from Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in illustration. What you do think he has "sold" from? He makes art for sale. Most racing art to do that, you know … Obey was a design that created that captured the public interest, and became a currency risk-taking for him. Never was intended to have a deeper meaning esoteric or philosophical … Read a little biography of Fairey, and you will quickly see that there is "selling out "For its part, because he never claimed to be something mystical to sell out.
