bronze statues play an important role in our lives

Bronze Statues as works of art often first formed in clay, or other material, wherearound a mold is formed to receive the hot wax poured into it to form a foundry wax. The wax casting is used in a lost wax casting process for forming a bronze casting that has the shape of the original clay. This procedure has, of course, have known for a long time, and foundries such are found even in early civilizations. In fact, in many aspects, such as bronze castings above are not very different from those produced today. Nor, in fact, finishes and finishing processes as currently practiced very different from such processes above. Writings from as early as the fifteenth century, which describes the process for casting bronze sculpture, polished and buffed it, and the application of finishes such as patinas and final waxing, are similar to the process as practiced today. Where machines and their use of energy such as windmills, sandblasting, and the like, have made the performance of steps in the polishing of a surface as smooth bronze, and polished smooth surface, much easier, steps themselves and purposes of each are essentially the same. In addition, these processes have included more than one application of a coating or layer of wax on the polished surface to preserve that order.

Both ancient and modern brass polishing and polishing procedures have recognized the desirability of removing humidity contaminants from the bronze surface before applying a final coat of wax it to prevent discoloration of the surface of the metal over time. Consequently, a work, during grinding and polishing, has been subjected to heating in a furnace, the application of the same fire, as with a propane torch, or similar, to bring water. Also, when a patina is applied, the surface of the patina has often received an application of a flame directed thereagainst as a final step before epilation. Such heating, while effective to remove water and even burn oil as they have been present on the surface of bronze, often does not completely eliminate water, surface contaminants that, over time, have reacted with moisture and pollutants in the air to discolor the surface of the metal. The present invention, before of applying a layer of wax to seal and preserve the bronze finish provides a more complete evacuation of water that has accumulated in the pores of the surface and metal contaminants, such as skin oils on the surface of metal. To make this cleaning the invention performs the step of directing a broad stream of dry grain material, as aluminum oxide sand fine grained, low-pressure against the metal surface, thereby to fund drainage and cleaning of this area, and also establish a final surface texture. Moreover, unlike previous procedures, the invention provides for the application, as with a brush, a material flexible plastic, or similar, sandblast the surface of the bronze to protect it while adjacent areas are being completed, including painting, patinaing, or similar. The coating is preferable to apply a flexible plastic material that is applied in liquid form and, when dry, it provides a flexible surface not affected by fumigation of adjacent areas with paint, water or other liquid, and is resistant to heat application, although a flame used in an application of a patina. The selected plastic coating can be removed as by pulling it into long strips and cut off the jet surface sand without polluting. Thereafter, as a final step, the work is waxing, sealing and surface protection, when the work is kept in a protected environment are constant brightness or gloss over an extended period of time in years with little or no care needed except for occasional application of a wax appropriate to the surface of the sculpture.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

It is a principal object of this invention in a termination process a bronze statue to provide as a final step in polishing the surface of the sculpture bronze in the direction of a stream of fine-grained material over a section of the surface as a final polishing step to provide surface texture, and dehydrate and disposed of her oils before applying a coat of wax to seal the surface.

Another object of this invention is to provide direction a broad trend of fine-grained material, aluminum oxide as a fine-grained, low-pressure against the surface of bronze over a period of time sufficient to provide surface texture, drainage, and for the removal of these oils.

Another object of this invention is to provide areas of the surface coating of the sand sculpture that have been ruined from contamination of the finished painting as adjacent surfaces with a layer of plastic material is applied in liquid and dries to a flexible waterproof layer to protect the sandblasted surface contamination, which is easily started with a tool or tools to receive a layer of wax.

Another object of this invention is to provide a selection of a plastic material that is applied in a liquid state to any desirable thickness, when dry, forms a flexible layer that is impervious to liquids and seals the surface to be applied against the surface contamination as adjacent finished, and can be easily removed as by peeling strips off the surface by an operator using a tool or tools.

Another object of the present invention is to provide the steps of the invention that are the final steps of polishing performed before applying a layer of wax to the bronze surface to preserve and protect the surface reactions like that fade with time.

The invention is in the steps of a process for polishing and polishing a surface a piece of cast bronze finish conversion to a finished bronze statue whereover or other wax sealant is applied. In the process of finishing, polishing provides for removal of unwanted material from the surface of a piece of cast bronze, polished to the surface to a surface to receive a request from a wax finish applied thereover or other sealant to seal and protect the surface.
